Bubble Shooter is a puzzle-shooter computer game originally developed for Microsoft Windows by Absolutist Games in 2000. A clone of Puzzle Bobble, it combines the features of puzzle, shooter, strategy and action games. Since 2000 the game has been updated and ported to many computer platforms.
Bubble Shooter Deluxe (version 1.6.) released in April 2004 is the latest version of Bubble Shooter game series released for Windows, Mac, Linux, Pocket PC, Palm OS, Symbian (series 60) and allows adjusting the game settings to the individual computer features.
In the game, the player is required to remove all bubbles from the playing field by shooting them with a bubble of the same color. As three or more bubbles of the same color are placed together, they disappear. Upon level completion, i.e. removing all the bubbles from the field, a player may see the so-called bubble fireworks, a number of multicolored bubbles exploding in a manner of firework and proceed to the next level.
Dead Whale has released a version of this game with the addition of a rotating platform to shoot the bubbles. It adds another level of difficulty and challenge to the game. The name of this game is called Bubble Spinner and can be found on several websites.

A playing field of Bubble Shooter Deluxe is half-filled with multicolored bubbles on a pastel game background. A 2D interface of the game involves pseudo-3D effects.
During the game bubbles may wave, change their size, shake and explode. Bubble Shooter Deluxe has a similarity to billiards in the way bubbles are ricocheted from the walls.
